After her withdrawal from service No 1 was mounted on Pretoria Station and was declared a National Monument in 1936. Later it was moved to the SAR Museum in the concourse of Park Station but is now on view in the Outeniqua Transport Museum in George. It is sometimes referred to as 'Emil Kessler', after the builder.
