Title
Heidelberg Transvaal, 1935. Looking down Jacob Street towards the west. On the right was the Grand Hotel, demolished and replaced by the Heidelberg Hotel. Left is the Pistorius Building. At the top end of the street is a general dealer with a bottle store, which later became Volkskas Bank and later ABSA Bank. To its left was Natal Bank, then Barclays Bank. These buildings were standing in 2021.
