Vet River, 1929. SAR Class 15, boiler explosion accident due to bad washing out and accumulation of mud on firebox roof. View of boiler lying in the veld with driver Ferrier and fireman Valentine.
Victoria Falls, Rhodesia. Victoria Falls from the railway bridge, with Rhodesian Railways 11th class No 135 locomotive. When built, the bridge carried two tracks. In 1930 the second track was converted for road vehicles and the bridge deck was raised 5 feet which is reflected in this photograph.

In 1971 SAPPI exchanged it for a SAR Class 10 No 772. It was restored at Germiston shed and was used for several Specials and film shoots before been placed on permanent display at the Outeniqua Railway Museum in 1998. Here she is shown at the handover ceremony with SAR Class 10C No 772.
