SAR Class 6A No 462. Removed from service in 1969 and restored by Mr Alex Watson Assistant Locomotive Foreman at Paarden Eiland and set up as a 'Gate Guard'. It was transferred with Mr Watson when he was appointed Locomotive Foreman at De Aar and it formed the nucleus of the then National Collection.
