Six SAR Class 6E1's travelled in both directions with trailing pantographs at 50, 70 and 90 km/h on a test section between mast pole 33/9 and 33/10 with a temporary mast halfway between them All three mast poles were instrumented to measure contact wite uplift, technician setting up measuring equipment at mast pole 33/10. A linear potentiometer visible above the right hand of the technician measured contact wire uplift.
