1948. CGR 6th Class 2-6-2 No's 270-273 built by Neilson, Reid & Co No's 5867-5870 in 1901, shown as built. After trails, they were fitted with a bogie under the firebox making them 2-6-4. The CGR ordered another four engines No's 274-277, which later became SAR Class 6Z No's 713-720.
