SAR postcard series No 2: First locomotive imported to South Africa by Messrs E & J Pickering contractors for the construction of the Cape Town to Wellington Railway in Sep, 1859. Built by Hawthorn & Co of the Leith Engine Works and was named 'Blackie'.
